Is Be Again a therapist?
No. Be Again is AI support you can talk to any time. It isn’t a therapist or a doctor, and it will always say so if you ask. It can help you find therapy or treatment when you want it.
What happens if I’m in crisis?
It stays with you. Be Again won’t end the chat or hand you a number and disappear. It helps you reach someone who can be with you, and keeps talking while you do. It isn’t an emergency service, and it’s honest about that, so it helps you reach people who are. See help available now.
Do I have to stop completely?
No. Some people want to stop, some want to cut down, and some aren’t sure yet. Be Again works with 12-step, SMART, faith-based, secular or your own way of doing things.
Is it only for alcohol?
No. Be Again can talk about alcohol, cocaine, weed, pills and other drugs.
Do I need to think I have a problem to use it?
No. You don’t need a label. If you’ve noticed you’re drinking or using more than you’d like, that’s reason enough to talk it through.
What if I have a slip-up?
You talk to it the same as any other day. A slip-up is a bump in the road: no streaks to lose, no reset to day one, just picking it back up.
I’m worried about someone. Can I use it if they won’t?
Yes. Loved ones have their own support, whether or not the person you’re worried about ever joins.
How does the Family plan work?
Up to four people share one plan and everyone gets Premium. You don’t need Family to link with someone: linking works on any plan, including Free. Each person has their own private conversations and chooses what, if anything, to share with the others.
Can my family read my conversations?
No. Your family can’t read your conversations, and you can’t read theirs. If you joined through a clinic, see what your clinic can see. Linked people only see what you choose to share.
Is it private?
Your conversations are yours. We don’t sell data and we don’t use what you tell Be Again for advertising. See safety and privacy.
What does it remember?
RecoveryDNA keeps track of the things that matter to you, and you can see, change or delete all of it. See RecoveryDNA.
What happens to what I tell Be Again about drug use?
It’s private to you. We don’t share what you tell Be Again with anyone, including police, employers or your GP, unless the law requires it. The only exception is what you’ve chosen to share with people you’ve linked or with your clinic.
Is the chat on this website saved?
No. The chat on this website doesn’t save anything you type.
Who can use Be Again?
Be Again is for adults 18 and over: anyone thinking about their own drinking or drug use, anyone in recovery, and anyone who loves someone who’s struggling.
What do founding members get?
The first 1,000 people to save a place get Be Again Family free for life: Premium for them and up to three people they choose.
When can I start using it?
We’re planning to open in January 2027 on iPhone and Android. Founding members get access first.
How much does it cost after that?
Core support is free. Premium for you or for loved ones is £14.99 a month, and Family for up to four people is £27.99 a month. Prices are planned for launch and may change. See pricing.
